You will need to have a provisional licence before learning to drive a car and you will need to apply for this ahead of your lessons. Once you have this, you can choose whether to take lessons regularly, spreading the cost and tuition times or to take an intensive course. Intensive courses are ideal for people who need to learn in a hurry. They involve a very concentrated amount of driving (sometimes 5-6 hours a day) for a week or so. This type of course needs to be paid for in full and will involve daily focus on driving alone. The benefit of a course like this is that you could learn and pass in just a week. If you prefer the more traditional method, you can book a block of regular lessons or book them ad hoc. There are discounts for block bookings.
Our instructors are all Advanced Driving Instructors and hold the DSA’s required qualifications. They all know the area well and will pick you up at a time that is convenient to you. We offer instruction in the evenings and at weekends as we are only too aware of how difficult it is fitting things in to our already busy lives! There will be only you in the car and your instructor will work with you to enable them to deliver the right level of instruction for you. Knowing your strengths and being aware of areas you need to improve on is the focus of our individual training plans. It allows us to pitch the instruction just right for you and your learning style.
Our cars, as well as our instructors, are reliable and safe! The cars are well maintained and comfortable. We can offer manual and automatic driving lessons and in the unlikely event of the car being off the road it will be replaced within 24 hours minimising disruption to tuition and tests.
