to choose Andy as my driving instructor; my brother had used Andy and passed his test within 2 months of his 17th birthday. It was a pleasure to learn with Andy, he gives very clear instructions that make even the most complicated things simple to understand. He gave me confidence and when I did get something wrong he would explain what I needed to do next time to get it right and then we would do extra practice. He was always punctual, which was important as we travelled from Coventry to Solihull just so I could use him. I just missed out on beating my brother it was 2months and 2 days after my 17th birthday when I passed but I had fewer minors, just three!

I have gone on to complete my Pass Plus with Andy and would have no hesitation to recommending him to any would-be driver.

It is a very professional company, Andy fitted the lessons around my busy schedule so It meant I could learn to drive when it was convenient for me. The lessons themselves were always for the full hour and were very relaxing. The technique Andy taught me were very good and easy to pick up. Andy was very easy to talk to and every lesson I had the more confident I became in my ability to drive. Using the correct methods and techniques that Andy taught me meant I passed without any miner faults. I would recommend Andy’s 1st as I think they will do you proud, like they have done me. Just a quick note to all those thinking of taking Driving lessons, I have just passed my test after about 10 hours of lessons with Andy himself.

I passed without any minors or any major faults at all. A big thank you to Andy for all his hard work, sweets and turning a blind eye to my swearing. I am now the designated taxi for my partner. But couldn't have done it without him as helped with my nervousness and put me at ease something other driving instructors failed to do, he was patient and all the hard work paid off, Cheers Andy Nice one !

Hi there iv just past my test this afternoon with andy first, the instructor was jason tomlinson and basicly i want to put a big thank you on your site about my experience with jason. The guy is brilliant iv had 6 different instructors in the last year but when i found you and jason came all my troubles was over the guy is an amazing instructor and he diserves a really big thank you putting on your site but im unsure how to do it, could you please help to put a statement up about him and my experience with andy 1st. As below, I started taking lessons with one of your instructors (Stuart) in November and just wanted to let you know that I passed my test today, first time round. I was really eager to get it done asap and Stuart was brilliant - just 15 lessons, all scheduled around my timetable (he even gave a couple of lessons from 9pm-10pm on nights when i was late back from work) and so i'm now looking to do my pass plus with him. You hear some horror stories about some of the (for want of a better word) muppets who try their arm at instructing these days, but Stuart was really good and, most importantly of all, he clearly put his all into getting me through the test.

I'd happily post the above (maybe minus the 'muppet' comment!) on your website, but i don't seem to be able to find a message board?

hi,
i know it is ages ago since i passed my test in march but just thought that you should know that everytime i see an andy1st car on the road i have to smile cause i know that the person learning is gonna succeed and beon the road. i still remember my very first lesson and my nerves were unbelieveable and although i said i would never drive i am now on the road and have been for 4months and it all thanks to andy and the other drivers that had me while he was away :)

message: Hi Andy my name is Natasha and I was recently under the supervison of one of your instructors called Mark he covered the Birmingham Small Heath area. I began having lessons with Mark in May and I had previously had lessons with another instructor, but before calling your company I had already booked my driving test with the previous instructor who had let me down by not returning my calls or turning up for my lessons without warning. I would like to take this opportunity to thank and praise Mark for all his help. He was an absoloutley wonderful instructor very professional but also very sensitive to the fact that I had booked my test under the false illusion that I was ready for it. He helped me to gain confidence by taking me right back to basics and by reminding and learning me about my clutch control, and my driving began to get better and better untill I felt very confident. He talked me through driving aswell as leading by example and was always very calm. This has helped me a great deal because I had my 1st driving test yesterday and passed 1st time. Thank you once again Mark for your time, patience, and understanding. Andy you have a very good team member on board. I will take pleasure in passing on your details to family and friends that are going to be taking driving lessons in the near future.

Renewing my best regards, i take this opportunity to extend my deepest gratitudes and appreciations in enabling me pass my practical test. May, i say it without any doubt that my driving instructor Mr Richard has been instrumental in making me learn all the necessary techniques in just two training sessions due to his remarable instructional qualities.

Apart from this, his friendly and accomodative approach towards me helped me regain my lost confidence and i just committed one minor mistake during my final test. Prior to moving to Andy !st I had been having lessons with a another driving school and they were dreadful, i was ready to give up driving for ever. Then I met my great instructor Steve Pryor, Steve has always made my lessons fun and enjoyable. So much so that I now look forward to my lessons each week . im pleased to say i finally bloody passed, and it was mainly due to richards calm and professional nature on the day of my test. i would highly recommend your driving school to any one who asks. From the 1st telephone call right through to my test richard has been excellent in helping me get passed my bad points and working on them to improve me as a safe and confident driver. I am writing to enlighten you of the great experience I have had during my time as a learner with Andy 1st. I would like to highlight that I have Richard to thank for this, he was brilliant and very patient. I have now passed and happily on the road and during my journey with Richard I had many funny, relaxed and confidence boosting lessons and would like to point out that he is an excellent instructor. Not only did he put up with me through things i found difficult such as left reverse and teach me it in different ways until i grasped it, but after failing many tests with previous instructors he really helped boost ma confidence and state of mind which resulted in a joyful pass. Further to our telephone conversation , I would like to say how pleased I have been with my lessons and instructor Steve Pryor.
I had, had lessons with B.S.M. for over twelve months and had never done any manoeuvres all I was doing was going around and around housing estates.
I called you and you put me in contact with Steve. He was brilliant on my first lesson I did turn in the road, reverse around corners etc.
Steve has made my lessons fun and he put back the confidence that I had lost. So much so as on Friday 26th June I passed my test.

Steve is an excellent driving instructor
he makes you feel relaxed, confident and gets you ready for the road in a fun manor without all of the stress. I had picked up some bad habits from my previous instructor but when I had lessons with Steve he explained exactly what I was doing wrong and why it was dangerous and soon shuck them out of my system. Steve explains things in an easy to understand way, I would definitely recommend Steve to anyone who wants to learn how to drive.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to your instructor Kevin who helped me pass my driving test yesterday (10th March). After not being behind the wheel of a car for more than 15 years, I had to learn from scratch (I found it much more difficult being older!!). Kevin was great, always very supportive, patient and made me feel at ease. He was a great instructor and I'll miss our Saturday morning lessons (although at least I can start having a lie in again!!).
