In today’s society Learning to drive has become more of a necessity rather than an option. Finding employment alone is hard enough, but more often than not, finding employment that ticks all the boxes means having to travel further a field in order to achieve this. With this in mind employers insist potential employees have a Full Clean Driving licence as a bare minimum requirement.

It goes without saying, not only do you need the relevant job qualifications in order to be successful of reaching the interview stage, but your CV must also show that you have a Full clean Driving Licence!

Learning to drive with Andy1st Driving School will not only be thorough and to the highest standards, but it will be fun. Although there is a syllabus to follow, we always endeavor to understand and adjust where necessary to suit you.

We will bring the best out of you, explain things the way that you will understand them. We will ensure that you fully understand what you have to do and why.

When this is achieved your whole learning experience will not only be enjoyable but knowledgeable and in the shortest amount of time.

1st Lesson FREE – Then your next three lessons for £60.

When learning to Drive, it is absolute paramount that you are 100% comfortable with your Instructor. You must be able to recognise that you will receive value for money and thorough tuition from your Instructor.

For this reason alone, your first lesson will be free of charge. This way should you not wish to proceed, you have lost nothing other than your time!

Once you have passed your Driving Test with Andy1st School of Motoring the next step is PASS PLUS.

Pass Plus is not a legal necessity, but in many cases you would be foolish not to complete it. Let me explain.

Statistics prove that drivers aged between 17 to 25 are involved in 75% of Road Traffic incidents. As a result of these statistics, insurance companies load young drivers with incredibly high insurance premiums.

However, many leading insurance companies offer substantial discounts to those young drivers who have successfully completed additional driver training – Pass Plus. More often than not, these savings exceed the cost of the additional training. Therefore, it’s a no brainier!

The prevention of road traffic incidents has been a matter for public concern ever since vehicles first appeared. Incidents can occur at any time and place and cannot be attributed to any particular road feature or vehicle defect.

A common factor in road traffic incidents in which a motor vehicle is involved is the presence of a human being and the probability of human error having occurred. The human element is directly responsible for almost every incident. For this one reason alone,  the need  for a complete driving system that any driver can easily adapt to was needed.

Strangely enough, such a system already exists. So why are we still having so many road traffic incidents. The answer is simple – lack of training.

Once the newly qualified driver has passed his/her driving test, they think that is it, all finished, nothing further required. Wrong. Sadly, the fact of the matter is, this is where it all starts to go wrong. You see, the problem with us humans, is we think we know it all. The reality is we don’t. This is where complacency and familiarity start to creep in. Bad habits and short cuts start to take precedence over fact and physics. What! I hear you say. Well I’m sorry but driving does not only include physics, it is physics.

Ever heard the phrase ” Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. Well if you haven’t I can almost be 100% sure that as a driver, you have experienced it at some time or another.

The problem lies in the false sense of security we develop with our driving habits. Following the lead vehicle too close, breaking the speed limit (most times unknowingly), thinking that other vehicles waiting at junctions won’t pull out, etc, etc, are all common signs of a false sense of security. Well, they are until the need to stop becomes a matter of  priority. You see speed is relational to time and vice versa. The faster you travel the longer it will take you to stop. As a matter of fact, if you double your speed, you quadruple your braking distance! Sorry, but that is scientific fact.

So, without baffling on and on, what can we do about it. There is only one answer, Advanced Driver Training. Advanced Driving is based upon the principals of Roadcraft – the Police Drivers Manual. Roadcraft contains a System of Car Control. One, which when applied in sequence by the driver to any hazard, will allow him to remain in full control of his vehicle and be able to stop his vehicle well within the distance he can see to be clear.

Andy1st Driving School offer Advanced Driver Training to all those who wish to improve their driving skills and as a result dramatically increase their likelihood of not being involved in a motor accident. Andy1st will enable you to understand the theory and principals  behind Roadcraft, the System of Car Control.

Upon completion and understanding of an Advanced driving course, candidates would then be eligible to take an Advanced Driving Test. The best and most recognised of these are conducted by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and Royal Society Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Successful candidates are then eligible to receive substantial discounts with leading insurance companies.

This end result may be a bonus in itself but the real bonus, greater than any monetary value is survival – Safe Driving for Life!

More and more people are killed or injured at-work in road traffic accidents than in any other workplace activity. Employers not only have a moral obligation to their employees but more importantly a legal duty of care.

Failure to ensure that appropriate Road Risk is suitably managed can result in heavy fines,  bad publicity and more important than that, imprisonment.

Andy1st Driving School can help employers with managing their drivers safety.

Individual driving assessments, group or class training sessions can be arranged at very competitive prices.

Driver management can begin at new employee induction. This sets the tone and shows employees that senior management are taking responsibility for the safety of their staff and  other road users.
